The new iPhone 4G is coming in summer, and this iPhone 4G prototype hardware photo is the proof of that. What we don’t know is whether or not Apple will release a Verizon iPhone 4G. Type in “iPhone” in Google, and the first suggestion you get is “Verizon iPhone”. This definitely indicates that many users want a Verizon iPhone.
A Verizon iPhone 4G release date doesn’t seem likely this June, however The Wall Street Journal has said that Apple may release two iPhones in June, and one of them will support Verizon’s CDMA network. This is just a rumor, and as you know there are many rumors when it comes to Apple’s upcoming products. You never know what they release until they actually release it. Even if Apple releases a Verizon iPhone this June, it won’t be on the 4G network because Verizon’s 4G network won’t be ready until 2011.

4G Verizon iPhone caught on camera?

Earlier today Gizmodo made a post titled “This is Apple’s Next iPhone”. They claim that the iPhone they have was found in a bar in Redwood City. To make matters worse, they are just assuming that this really is a prototype based on the fact that they saw multiple components in the iPhone that were labeled Apple. Sorry to rain on your parade Gizmodo, but your iPhone is a fake. That explains why it doesn’t boot up, and why you can’t connect it to iTunes and download even the beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 software to it. Someone most likely took out the components from the current iPhone, placed them in a fake Chinese iPhone clone and sent it to you. I just contacted one of my sources who has had actual hands on experience with a prototype of the new iPhone, and he has confirmed that this prototype is nowhere close to what the real iPhone 4G looks like and it’s a FAKE. I’m talking to my source again right now and am trying to get more information out of him, but I may not be able to reveal much as his career is at stake here. Stay tuned!

Be careful when buying iPhones – it might be a knock-off

The biggest feature Apple announced in their iPhone OS 4.0 event today is multitasking. As an iPhone owner I was constantly teased by Android owners for having no ability to multitask. Not any more! Now Apple has implemented a nifty multitasking system in iPhone OS 4.0, and it looks like they’ve got it right! Whenever Apple implements a major feature, they always do it right. Unfortunately for iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd generation users, there will be no multitasking support added.
Multitasking on the iPhone involves double-clicking the home button on your iPhone, which pops up a four icon dock on the bottom and shows your background apps. You can tap on any app to switch to it, it’s that easy! For the tech junkies out there, Apple has added seven new API’s:
- Background audio
- VOIP
- Background location
- Push notifications
- Local notifications
- Task completion
- Fast app switching

iPhone and Multitasking

Apple has just sent an e-mail to well-known sites like Gizmodo and invited them to an event that they’re holding on April 8 at 10 AM. Apple will be giving a demo of the new iPhone operating system, iPhone OS 4.0 on this date.
Last year Apple demoed iPhone OS 3.0 in March, but due to the iPad they had to delay the demo of the iPhone OS 4.0 software this year. It’s about time Apple finally released a whole new operating system. One of the most requested features of the iPhone OS is multi-tasking, and Apple has yet to add support for this. I really look forward to seeing what Apple has in store for us this Thursday. Stay tuned, I’ll be posting more updates as more information is discovered!

For me, the best free iPhone app in the Apple App Store would have to be the Dragon Dictation iPhone app. The Dragon Dictation iPhone app allows you to speak in to your iPhone and have your speech converted to text. Your text can then be sent as a text message, E-mail, or pasted in to another iPhone application using the clipboard.
Pros:
- Converts your speech to text very accurately
- Offers suggestions for text that wasn’t converted from speech to text properly
- Saves you a lot of time
Cons:
- There is a 30 second time limit for dictation, but you can keep adding more text after every 30 seconds
- Requires you to have an Internet connection
- Doesn’t work well in noisy environments
I’ve been using the Dragon Dictation iPhone app for about a week now and have found it really helpful. I still type with my keyboard sometimes but whenever I need to type an e-mail using this app saves me a lot of time. It really surprised me how accurate this iPhone app was. Check it out by clicking the download link below! Let us know how it works for you.

Google is working on a new phone, and it’s called the Nexus One. No, Nexus One is not a code name, it’s the real name of the phone that you see in the picture above. You can see more pictures of this at Engadget. The Nexus One is a slim phone running Google’s Android 2.1 operating system. HTC is manufacturing the Nexus One. No price, specs, or other official dates have been confirmed. According to rumors, this phone will be unlocked and will sell for around $500. Reuter’s sources are saying that there will be two versions of the Nexus One: One will be sold through T-Mobile with a service contract and the other will be sold through Google unlocked. Reuter’s sources are also saying that the Nexus One will be released around January 5.
The one question many people are thinking about is, will this phone be the iPhone killer? It’s too early to judge this as the phone is not even out yet, and Google hasn’t even confirmed that they’ll be releasing it. As far as we know this could even be just a phone for developers. This phone is running Android, and from my experience with Android it was not as user friendly as the iPhone. The main reason why many people choose the iPhone is because of the ease of use it offers. Apple has done a perfect job developing a great software, the iPhone OS, and it’ll take a lot for other competitors to catch up.
